Warning: big images.
Then, the (quite) tricky and rare features to use. (Note: from this point, I’m going to write it in English, please bear with my messy structure and grammar; click to open the full image)
If you have read my first post about this kind of thing, then you must already know what it is. An excerpt is the summary of your post which WordPress will show on our feed and on your blog (if your choice of theme support it).
You don’t need to use it of course, but I like if someone uses it because, IMO, the simplest thing that engages people to read your story are: the opening and the summary.
In the newest editor for WordPress, you can find it in the left bar, click the expand arrow on more option, there you got the excerpt box!
How it looks on feed (phone):
How it looks on some of the themes that support it:
The first thing you need to remember, people can search tag. How?
You can search it here: https://wordpress.com/tags/
How? And this one is very simple, but I recommend you to edit it on a computer. Go to the HTML editor on your computer, and put this code
where you want to break the page, then done! If you want it to be easier to know where you want to put it (because I know, it’s not that easy to look at the HTML editor if you’re not accustomed with it), then you can simply write something like “HERE IS THE LINE”, go to the HTML editor, and search “HERE IS THE LINE” and replace it with the pagination code.
On the note, this doesn’t really work if read in feed, so it’s quite tricky on phone. That’s why I also put a horizontal line to make it looks clean. Like this:
So, it looks like this on phone:
Make an Account (sans Blog)
For your second account, maybe? Or an admin of some blog? Or whatever you want, I just want to write it. Go to this Url: https://wordpress.com/start/account/user (you need to log out first, of course)
Maybe you make another site for a shared blog or something, and you want to give it to your new account that you make for admin also an owner of this blog.
Open your wp-admin
Then, wordpress will email you to confirm this action, once you follow the instruction on the email, you just need to wait the other person to respon.
Export + import site
For you who want to move some of your blog’s post ar pages to another blog.
Export (open your blog wp-admin):
This will download the .zip with an .xml file (which is the one file you need to upload on “import” page)
Note that, if you want to change you blog url, you don’t need to make a new wordpress then import it, you simply can change the blog url.
Idk if this useful or not, but I have use this features for five or more times I think, deleted around 50 – 90 followers; those English speaking people who randomly (or magically) following me, some who likes many of my posts but never introduce herself, or I just simply want it LOL.
Step: Go to your blog’s home
Save the best for the last, they said; this one keeps your feed very very clean. Once I was doing unfollowing spree, unfollow all those shared blogs and some who reblogged so many things (sorry not sorry) because for God’s sake my feed is just a mess. Good news, if you’re not a followers seekers, and just happy that someone keeps up to your story and read it, I do “following” some of people’s blog through this features (and sometimes forget the real follow button LOL).
Yeah, that’s it, just a little from so many features on WordPress; hope it helps. Someone want to share something in the comment below? Or maybe you want to ask me what to write next time?
